We visited the Vergola showroom and met Roy who became our representative. He was extremely knowledgable, professional & courteous, dispelling every doubt and concern we did or could have had about the product, Council planning and construction from inception to completion.
In fact, dealing with all the people at Vergola was delightful. Anna (Customer Liaison) continually kept us in the loop and explained every step of each process. Delivery dates/times were always met.
Our two construction/installation guys, Michael & Hadley were likewise impressive, extremely hard working and two super guys. After each day, they tidied & cleaned up and left the place spotless. Most impressive. (Incidentally, Shannon & his mate, who installed our neighbours Vergola a month or so later, was fantastic too.)

“What an impressive and professional Company! After requesting a quote from Vergola and our appointment made we were visited by Roy, Vergolas Design Consultant. His knowledge was invaluable and his suggestions were a great benefit to us. The thing that stood out to us is that he actually listened to what our vision was for the area and then came up with a plan that was extremely satisfying.
He suggested we run the louvres East/West rather than North/South as we had asked for and he explained why. So glad we have an uninterrupted view of the sky and Sunset. Wonderful plans of how our Vergola would look finished arrived with such attention to detail. Deliveries of product were on time every time. Then to our Installers, Tux, Rob and Gav – on time, polite, courteous and cleaned up every day when they had finished. It was actually a pleasure to have these guys work on our home. Due to Gav’s baby being born on the first day of installation, this left Tux to continue our job for 6 days on his own. We were very impressed to say the least. We have no hesitation in singing the praises of Vergola to all we know.”
“The thing that we love most about our Vergola is being able to push the “OPEN” switch and watch the daylight stream into our living spaces. And, of course, being able to close it again at night or when we need protection from the elements. Having this control makes us appreciate how fantastic a Vergola is every time we hit that switch!
Our Vergola extends out from the kitchen and family/dining room and covers the outdoor entertaining area. These areas are where we spend most of our time. They also face to the south. Therefore, we would’ve missed out on so much daylight if not for the ability to open the louvres. It’s actually been like having our own daylight saving because instead of turning on the light switch, in the morning or late afternoon, we can just open the Vergola!
If someone asked us if we would recommend adding a Vergola our answer would be “Yes!”. For us, it was the perfect solution for the south-facing side of our house.
It’s surprising how far the shadow from a building or awning extends in mid-winter compared to mid-summer. In our situation, much of the back grass and plants would not have survived the shaded winter months, year after year, if we weren’t able to open the louvres to let the sun shine through. The same prolonged shade through the winter months and our southerly aspect also means that the louvres need cleaning periodically (perhaps every couple of years) but the benefits of being able to open the louvres far outweigh this issue.
Of course, it’s the opposite during summer because that’s when you need the shade to keep cool. So, we just change the angle of the louvres, perhaps a couple times throughout the day, to maintain the shade underneath. It means you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Brilliant!
We added a Vergola to our house 30 years ago and are so pleased, every day, that we did. Knowing that Vergola is still around today only confirms that we made the right decision back then. It’s a great concept and, as our 30-year-old Vergola will prove, it’s a great product.
